Having received many questions about the Court Street Gateway Project's roundabout feature, the City has posted several resources explaining the benefits of roundabouts, including a new video on the recently built roundabout in Glens Falls, NY.
As the following materials show, roundabouts promote safety, streamline traffic flow, improve aesthetics, and promote a cleaner environment, and the City looks forward to bringing these benefits to Binghamton. As the first video states, "roundabouts maybe controversial at their outset, but public opinion changes once they're built. Motorists soon find out through their own experience the safety and traffic flow benefits, and then show enthusiastic support for roundabouts."
